A TRIP TO FAR FAR AWAY~
On a black friday, friday the 13th.. we went down to Universal Studio Singapore at Sentosa.. It turned out to be really lucky for us as we got the last walk-in's tickets.. much to the disappointment to those behind us.. Phew! Perhaps its the black friday effect too as there was not much people queuing up at those rides and the most we had to wait for is only 40min!
It is quite a small place which could be walked finished in less than 1hour.. but you plus the waiting time and there you have.. an entire day spent there.. Seriously.. time flies so fast there because 3/4 of the time is spent standing in line.. and not because its dreamland or something.. But its a nice place to visit.. you really feel like you are no longer on the Singapore Island for a moment..
Our first ride was a dragon roller coaster which finished in less than a minute i guess? One thing to be proud of is that we tried all the available roller coasters there is in USS.. YAY! Fun Fact: I do not like taking roller coasters.. but its not something i will avoid trying..
One thing i found amusing in USS is probably the fact that you have to sometime queue up to take a photo of a statue or a signboard.. like this and the first picture.. a queue will automatically form up and i thought it was a great thing.. least we know who get to go first and no have kaisu people overtaking..
Went over to the Lost World.. which is also the workplace of Qiann every weekend.. went to visit her workplace so that i know what kind of environment she worked in..
Over there we tried the Water Roller Coaster which supposingly get all of us wet in the end but Qiann said there is 1 lucky seat which you will definitely not get wet.. In the end she is the lucky one and it was quite a sad thing as she wanted to get wet due to the hot weather..
It is quite awesome especially when it get to this dark dark area where you see nothing at all and you have no idea what is going to happen next.. a MUST TRY.. but this is probably the longest wait.. according to Qiann there is a time where the wait is 140min..
Next we went to the Water World to catch their live performance of some survivors finding land and pirates fighting them and stuffs liddat..
A huge stage i will say.. and that include the waters around that piece of floating material.. there are some blue benches which are warned that its possible to get wet.. even soaked.. why?
Aside from getting wet by the show itself.. there is 2 jokers that spice things up a little while the crowd are gathering to sit and settle down..
They pour and shoot water on the audience.. sometime to a large group and sometime all directed at one.. there was a scene where he "tripped" over and ops the entire bucket of water is on that poor guy.. So careful where you sit next time..
The show show have alot of jetskiing.. and you might want to pay attention when they start to get near to you because it means a huge wave is following and you will probably be soaked.. jumps from high area.. rapid gun fires and huge boat sailing in are also included..
There is even a moment where a huge plane out of nowhere will just BOOM and fly into the stage and you will be like O.O!
I really have to salute them for the amount of time and effort they put into their props.. a life size plane as prop is really a WOW thing..
Many explosions and boom boom pow around.. managed to get some lucky quick shots.. =)
After the show we decided to refuel our stomach before we continue our journey.. tried their hotdog bun and dun be fooled by its size and quantity.. it is actually quite a filling dish.. quite a great meal to get us kicking again..
USS does pay attention to details too.. even the font of their sign boards are different for different location.. each type of font actually brings out the effect of the place too.. especially the Madagascar, Scifi City and Egypt..
After lunch we walked around as we were bloated and it seems like a bad chioce to go for roller coaster rides immediately.. so we went into this Potion Shop which even have an indoor ferris wheel for kids..
Nothing much you can do after a full meal.. so its play a fool and photo taking time..
Went for their 4D movies about Shrek which is pretty awesome.. one thing to note is that their chairs are 4 by 4.. so its recommended that you sit somewhere and hope that no one else sit on the same 4 as you.. we happened to have 2 heavy buggers beside us.. so when it start rocking.. ours kinda stayed still instead.. WTH!
Photo taking at the dinosaurs and their eggs.. Qiann happen to have the fountains spraying while im taking the shot.. as for me.. i aint want to get wet so i stood outside instead.. bwahahhaa..
WELCOME TO MADAGASCAR! The whole theme is just like the movie itself.. and time to time there are mascots that comes out for photo taking..
There is the Merry Go Round which you ride on all the characters there are.. though there are some which i never seen before and is there for no good reason.. It does have the Madagascar feel though because it kinda stinks at the wating area.. the stink of a forest sorta stink.. so good job! (though i dont think they did that on purpose)
Imagine a cable car that go at x3 the speed and you probably enjoy this.. offered a good view of the surrounding but there are quick and sharp turns here and there so you have to be prepared at all times..
Next stop is EGYPT.. i like all those giant statues as to me as they have this royal feel with them like they stand tall above us and have this pressing effect on us minors.. =/
Those statues just seems so enormous that they tower over us.. usually i don't like to feel inferior but this is way awesome..
Deep inside there is this freaking long walk inside a poorly lighted area and if not for the invention of flash.. all the photos will appear as black squares.. but the MUMMY ROLLER COASTER IS AW-W-W-W-W-SOME!! 80% of the time you are in darkness so you have no idea whats happening.. there is this part where your coaster just fall backward.. there are fires burning beside you which you can feel the heat.. and the best part! the "pulling-you-upward-like-all-roller-coaster-ride" is SOooOOoo fast.. YOU GONNA LOVE IT!
DEFINITE MUST TRY!
Sci-Fi City.. which has the futuristic feel in it.. i like such feel although i have to agree that it look pretty dull with all the silver layout.. the Red and Blue roller coaster was OOO so damm i couldnt try it.. I wanted to conquer it soo badly!
There is this spinning thingy which spins clockwise on a dish of 3 that rotate anticlockwise on a giant dish of everthing that rotate clockwise again.. Having our lunch still in our stomach and wanting to keep it there instead of everywhere over the floor.. we gave this a skip too..
Went to New York City and wow.. its amazing how a place country can be a icon in USS.. maybe one day there will be Singapore City in one of the USS somewhere and you see Merlion and Durians trees around.. They have this gas thingy which kinda remind me of those ladies standing there and attempting to hold their skirts down.. lols..

With my second favourite character Puss in Boot.. my favourite is Wonky the Woodpecker but couldnt find him and when we did.. he was rushing off already.. Dammit dammit! Shall go find him in other countries next time.. and a Final Shot with Qiann! (which also happened to be the first picture of the day.. Hahaha) Loves you~
