Getaway @ Bintan

7th to 9th May 2010 - Refreshing Long Weekend @ Bintan


Yay its another oversea trip with my Qiann.. so a brief introduction before everything happen is that.. Yw the great organiser planned this trip and on this very morning.. all of us gathered at Bedok MRT station where we head to the nearby supermart and purchase all our ingredients for the 3 days trip.. then we went to catch our boat and we are off to Bintan Island..


So the five of us.. set sail towards bintan where its all about SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST..


Upon reaching the resort.. we were greeted with welcome drink which was refreshing and very appreciated due to the heat we been through..


So this is how the lobby of the resort look like.. everything is great.. just that there is a serious problem with the heat around there..


So while the girls Qiann and Syarr are camwhoring around the lobby..


The guys Jonn Me and Yw went to get ready at the front desk counter and soon we are on our way to the Villa..


We had a buggie that fetch us straight to the villa which is impressive.. perhaps one day i need a buggie in my house because its too huge..

So entering through the door.. we are greeted with a large living room and dining area and everyone is everywhere.. exploring the villas as well as booking which rooms is whose..


If only my future house is the size of this.. i will be contented already..


Even the toilet look so clean and nice..


After all the goo goo gaa gaa about the house.. its time for serious work.. DINNER..


So we unpacked all the foods.. putting what need to be cold in the fridge and what need to be cooked immediately to be taken out and prepared..


Me with my specialty.. Campbell soup.. LOL..


Was also cooking spagetti too so after cooking for a while.. i threw one against the wall to make sure it stick onto it.. indicating that my noodles are fully cooked..


A froggy came by joining us for dinner.. if not that its too small.. it would most likely be cooked as frog porridge.. MMMmm...


This time round everyone is at work.. perhaps because we have a lack of manpower..


Spagetti is ready after a few throw of the noodles against the wall..

And here we have.. delicious dinner.. it was alot more filling than we expected and we couldnt finish it.. =/


After dinner we went to explore around the resort and came across this life size model of chess and snakes and ladders..


So as jonn picked up the die.. the game officially started and everyone is into it until Syar finished the game..


So basically Syar and Jon are the markers while Yw and Qian are the players..


There was a bowling alley around there too.. but as most of us werent wearing socks we forgo the idea..


Ended up we went to play their mini arcade where Yw show off his muscles and rack the high score of this machine instantly with one try!


Played some video shooting games too.. realised i suck at it after years of not touching them...


Played the basketball and i realised i have some hidden talents in it and soon i racked its high score too.. =)

So after all the arcade.. we went back to our villas where we did all kinda things..


First we practise yoga so as to have a better sleep that night..


Then we played monopoly deal which is the game of the holiday..


Then we played truth or dare which lasted the rest of the night.. so some of the stuffs we did are like tying up syar's hair..

And that conclude the first day!


Next morning.. woke up to a game of monopoly deal again.. seriously.. we were addicted to that game throughout the stay at Bintan..


Then we went to walk at the beach looking for some water sports to try out.. i like this photo a lot.. Qiann have a lot of photography talents you know you know..


It is a really really really long stretch of sand to walk..


Again i say.. Qian have talents..

However all the watersports are too expensive and we are sorta on a budget trip so we forgo those ideas too and went back to the resort..


And went to visit their pool.. wow its really a breathtaking sight!


There are jacuzzis too though i aint really a fan of it..


And this is an infinity pool.. one of the few pools that i like seriously..

And since we are there to enjoy life.. we basically just lie there and watch the sun moves from left to right.. or was it right to left?


Went back to the beach to play with sands just like how we use to many years back.. this bring back memories...


This however bring back even more memories as we had dug a hole and intend to give Syar a free Sandtanning..


She wasnt really that happy with it and we had to cooked lunch for her to make it up.. But we had to cooked it either way.. =.="


So while we guys are cooking lunch for them.. they sat there and chitchat and gossip..


And i went to check on our room and WOW.. the housekeeper is amazing.. although we shifted all the beds from other rooms to this room.. they still helped us to do the bed.. this is really beyond expectation.. i dun even expect the 5* hotels to do this.. let alone a Bintan resort.. but their service.. EXCELLENT! Anw.. noticed that Tv over there.. if you had pay attention.. you probably realised it is the same one as the one in the living room.. LOL


We shifted that up so we can watch movies and in the meantime while we are dining below.. we used jonn laptop to play some musics as the background or its just too quiet..


Dinner was fried rice and noodles with vegetables.. quite an overall dinner which tasted really good.. and again it was too much and we couldnt finish so we kept them and they are breakfast the next day..


Went back to the arcade to play a few more games and use up all the tokens we had exchanged.. plus i even played with some of the kids there too..


Later that night we went to their pub which is quite well known and we were hoping quite a lot will turn up..


We had a few drinks here and there and this is the potions that sparks the drunken beast to awake again later in the night..


Later on we moved to a more comfortable place where we can just lie down under the beautiful starry sky and drink to our fill..


Uh oh.. its waking up!


As we get higher.. we went forward and danced on the dance floor along with all the other people there..


It was really great but i think im really lousy at dancing.. any coaches? Anw the band ended early and when it was the real club.. the music sucks so we went back to our villas..


Syar was pretty knocked out.. and she is really a pain in the ass when its time to bring her home..


Somehow she fell from that chair and knocked her head against the ground too.. ouch ouch..


But no matter what.. she will try to pretend that she is totally alright when the camera is pointing at her..


On the buggie home.. Qiann have to take care of the two drunkens.. making sure they dun jump off suddenly.. or even knock Jon and my heads together as if they were coconuts..


So what happened in Bintan stays in Bintan (Unless you approach those that have the videos and you may have a peak at what exactly happened) but otherwise.. aside from all the things-im-not-supposed-to-say.. there are many pillow fights among both of them.. and the rest.. is either secrets.. or in the video.. =) *hinthint*

So that conclude Day 2


Day 3 was basically packing up and getting ready to leave this place as we woke up late and took our time packing and breakfasting and monopoly dealing.. had banana split while waiting for the time to come for us to take the bus back to the jetty..


And this conclude the awesome long weekend.. Hopefully the next outing will have more people.. Enjoyed it.. but is time we come back to reality.. Singapore.
