On a good weather saturday morning at 6am, My family, Qian and I went to Jurong East to meet up and board the tour bus which brought us to JB..
First stop was the most important of the day.. because its BREAKFAST.. so we went around to order some dishes and just share it by eating a bit of this and that..
Their serving portions are really haywire.. look at the small small small dimsum compared to the big big big bao.. L O L
After a fulfilling breakfast.. we rode on the bus for about one and a half hour which i fell asleep for like 80% of the time.. and finally we reached the Fruit Farm..

Picture 1: Hey whats that!?
Picture 2: OMG Look out!
Picture 3: Wahhhhhh!
What are they looking at?

Ohhh.. being in a fruit farms.. there are of course many fruits to look out for.. just for general knowledge.. do you know that durian tree branches are perpendicular to the trunk?

Aside from fruits and trees and dungs as fertilizers.. they also have beautiful places for photo taking and just taking a break.. i always wanted to crop the lightbulb away anyway..
Fish is said to bring you good luck and fortune.. so they spammed as many fishes as they can and causes..? Overcrowding.. =)
Quite a family shot without my dad because he is the camera man..

Not only are there fruits.. but there are interesting looking flowers that lurk around and have unique designs..

And not to forget.. the animals that are found there too.. especially the mischievous monkey..

He pulls the rabbit, sit on the rabbit, and hold it down so it doesnt run away.. E-vil monkey!
And they also give us a box of fruits to eat so that we will stay healthy and strong...
Then after all the fun it was a boring lecture about bees and honey.. (and of course the product they are selling to us).. Another general knowlege.. did you know its the female bees that come out of the hive to work? which means THE BEE MOVIE is utter rubbish..
Then its LUNCH TIME.. im always extremely happy about meal time.. show me a tour that do not have meals time and i will show you a bus that run on no wheels..
It is kinda a seafood lunch with all the crabs and clams and osyters and lobsters.. i forced Qiann to try a bit of everything no matter what.. =Pp
Compare the size of the lobster to my bowl of rice.. i ate a total of 5 bowls of rice that day because the portion is really pathatic..

The next attraction was actually some temple.. which did not really interest me at all so i end up walking around taking pictures of flowers instead.. +_+
Then its the highlight of the day.. The Ostrich Farm!
Look at the cute birdd.. General knowledge.. do you know that the male wear lipsticks and the female don't? So what gender is this?
Female DUH~
Listening to the owner talk about the ostrich and the egg.. General knowledge again.. do you know an ostrich egg if cooked as scrambled egg can feed 10 people?
Qiann decided to try and step on it and see if they are really as hard as they seems..
Then the mother came and chase her away.. and checked to see if her babies are alright..
Photo taking with my mom and my Qiann..
We can single-handed carry the heavy egg of the ostrich.. can you do it too?
After much persuasion.. Qiann finally decided to try to feed the ostrich.. and look at all the fun she is having.. ^_^
Do i look like a farmer boy or what?
My mom decided to try to feed an ostrich too... But...
Ahh! it bit her hand instead.. Luckily its more of a shock than pain..
Then we saw a ostrich doing its business and its interesting at how the organs will come out just for it to relieve itself.. at first i thought it was giving birth.. =.=
and YES! Qian agreed to taking one super close shot with an ostrich.. really kudos to her being so brave that day.. ^_^ Great!
We also managed to see a newborn ostrich that just hatched for less than 24hrs..
The egg shells can be used as lamp or decoration after it is emptied.. really useful..
Check the menu out.. Ostrich Satay anyone?
Ostrich Satay.. tasted kinda like normal satay though...
Finally a family shot with my family and my mom secondary school classmates.. so nice to be friends until now..
My dad is a real pro when it come to nature.. he folded a grasshopper out of a long leaf.. so nice and detailed!
Then it was DINNER TIME which i didnt take much photos because i was busy eating.. =P
Went to the shop around the restaurant and there is this soft toy shop which has many sizes and types of soft toys..
That monkey is almost as huge as me.. i believe if i were to bring it through the custom they will suspect i am hiding someone inside..
To finish off this post.. this is the group shot of everyone that attending this tour.. all of them are my mom secondary school friends or teachers sia.. i wonder if i ever will have this kinda tour with my own secondary school mates..
