12th April 2011 - Hong Kong Day 2
After a great rest through the night, we had breakfast at the hotel to try out the food but it was not amazingly good so we avoided it the next few days and enjoy the REAL hongkong food. Now that we have our stomach filled, we proceed to train down to our first stop; NGONG PING 360.
However the train is unable to bring us directly there because its on a mountain! Or at least the thing IS a mountain. So we took their cable car and there was quite a crowd although we were very early. Their cable car was quite a long journey which made us felt that its money well spent. And alot of photos were taken then too.!
Whats the best cure for too long queue? Photo taking of course! Camwhored alot while standing at the line and in the blink of the eyes, its our turn =)
We had the glass bottom cable car so we will be able to see as if we float above the ground and sea. Could you spot whose shoes and legs belong to who? Had much fun staring down at everything beneath us as i believe its probably the first time for all of us.
The only problem with taking pictures in a cable car is that you cant see the cable car. Or can you? So in the end half the time we were waiting for the opposite cable car to pass by us and we try to take a perfect spot with that as the background. But honestly the ride was a little too long that we got quite bored. On the way back we were waving to all the people that is going up, hoping that they will wave back and that we made their day as much as they made ours.
Finally we reached the summit but we were still craving for more cable cars and so more photos! Again we waited for the perfect moment where there is a nice cable car in the background.
But the perfect photo isnt with ONE cable car behind but rather TWO! and to make things even better! We must have a jump shot to go with TWO cable car. And we did it pretty well i say. I love burst mode of cameras. Fast shutter speed is the key!
There is alot more things up there than i expected. Afterall, we were there for the Giant Buddha and we thought that is about it. Had lunch there and shopped around before we conquer the most scariest thing according to KungFu Panda; Stairs.
No matter what.. the main attraction is the Buddha so we will sacrifice ourselves and climb up the horribly long stairs. It wasnt that bad once we reached the top but it got difficult to take photos of it because it became too large to fit the dimensions of our camera.
Random photos of everyone. We were mostly there to look and stare at the greenery and mountains around us.
Group shot with the Buddha. After descending from the top.. we went to explore around including going on jungle tracks to where not where its designed to walk. Didnt reach any nice location but it could be because we didnt venture deep enough. Shall attempt that again when time is at our side.
Took the train onwards to Disney and there is a train that is specially designed with Disney Theme that brings you into Disneyland. Mickey handles, statues, window, need i describe more? Its time for us to be children once again!
As time was running late we hurried to purchase our tickets and set off into Fantasyland~
Question of the day: Who is the strongest?
Tried almost every rides there is from the kiddy one to the rocket indoor roller coaster to the boat ride to the tea cups and the merry go round too!
Looking at all the smiles on our faces, we had the best time of our life there being kids again and being so excited to try all the rides. There were many mascots to take photo with and the one in Pinocchio is so mischievous and i had quite a bit of struggle with him trying to tickle me while at the photoshoot. Bad boy! Turn back into wood!
Balloons to carry us and fly us away, to our future housing aka the Castle. We were quite a laugh when we all asked if we can hold on to the balloons, but they agreed onto it and that very much made the whole trip worthwhile.
However its never complete without fireworks and theirs is spectacular! With much credit to my camera skill, you all get to enjoy the magnificant view of the show back in the comfort of your home. With that it conclude our day at Disney, and the moment the lights starts to be switched back on, we were already halfway running out of it, with probably a thousand other Suaku people also racing out in order to avoid the crowd at the train station.
Did shopping at Temple Street. I probably did not research enough on shopping because all the shopping area we visited were quite boring and similar to all the other areas we visisted. Maybe i shall consult some professionals and attempt another trip back to HongKong =P Had dinner and we went back to our hotels. But that wasnt all!
The weather and atmosphere in HongKong isnt really the best condition for our face and skin so after we were all cleaned up, we did a group facial mask! Though i have to admit i look ridiculous in it, my face felt alot smoother and the pores are closing up quickly! (ok it isnt really that effective but that is what its supposed to be) Had quite a difficult time keep a straight face especially when we were all watching a comedy movie of Mark Lee but soon we peeled it off, snuggled up, and doze off to Day 3.
