Day 1 - 18th June 2009

Day 1 - 18th June 2009

A short introduction about this trip before we start it off. My uncle had been working in this company for quite some time and had did a great job in it, as well as achieving some certain target, hence was rewarded with 2 tickets trip to Europe, with everything aboard the 6 Star Cruise Ship SPONSORED.. Really have to thank my Uncle for this chance to experience the European side of the World..

Really thanks to my Girlfriend for sending me to the airport, even though it was kinda forced by me.. Appreciate the last few moments of being together before i had to leave for quite a long time..

The Beautiful Terminal 3.. First time i stepped into it and im actually taking a plane from there too!

Went for Dinner at Sakae Pasta Shop and tried this beef dish and it taste really delicious.. The spaggetti was full of taste and it was not from MSG as we were not thirsty even after eating.. Good Food! Expensive though..

Ordered Sake and its glass is so interesting.. there is a hole in it for the ice to be placed into it, which wouldnt dilute the Sake at all yet keeping it cool..

A shot of me before the trip with my cousin.. but i dun think there is much difference before and after..

And so i left Singapore pretty much alone although it was with my uncle but there were not really any close people that are travelling with me.. The plane took off at 1am plus and it was a long 13hr flight.. So in the meantime.. i watched Tales of Despereaux, Handphone, Pink Panther 2, Simspons TV Show and Teen Titans Show.. ^_^

This is Supper i guess or dinner according to Copenhagen time and it taste really good.. SIA is a awesome plane..

A plain and simple breakfast to start my day in Copenhagen, Denmark..

My uncle and Me.. CHeck the size of MY luggage and HIS luggage.. Can you even see mine? Its behind..

Upon reaching there, we took a taxi to our Hotel and actually found out that all the taxis are Merc Benz or BMW.. Hot! We reached our Hotel at 9am but there was no vacant rooms available because the check in time is at 3pm..

This is the first time i actually stood at the counter to listen to how to get a room using the reservation and confirmation number and etc learnt from my IHRO Module.. Really new to me as i used to always go on a planned tour..

So we put our luggages in their safekeep and i login to Facebook via their public computer just for a little while before we explore around Copenhagen..

Walked around and the weather is really very enjoying.. its almost a perfect day type of weather that i dreamt for countless time to experience in Singapore..

There are plenty of wind over there.. causing a lot of shivering due to wind chill...

Its soo strong i could almost assure you that you see the clouds move ALL the time..

Really a beautiful place with beautiful weather.. Europe is a beauty..

However the prices of things around there are SUPER expensive.. Normal Teeshirts could cost around SGD50 each and even plain water cost SGD3 to SGD9 per bottle..

A normal burger fries and coke meal would cost around SGD20.. and the cab fare we took from the airport to our hotel which was less than 20min cost SGD70..

A beautiful picture of the pretty looking sky..

Colourful flowers decorating the streets which bring joys to everyone hearts..

Isnt Europe a beauty.. =))

This is a Bicycle counter which track how many bicycle passed by that lane.. i tried to just walk on that track and it didnt count me.. Cool!

This is the type of pictures which are taken by myself.. im at the side and i look pretty big..

Went to some restaurant at 1030am and they were only getting ready and we were not able to order our food yet.. We had to wait till 11am before we could start ordering.. That two brownish thing there is actually awesome tasty beef and not something else and it really goes well with the rices there too..

An orange stall selling orange juices and other consumption.. plus an inside joke...

The dumbest sales promotion i ever seen.. In case you are wondering.. Divide by 25% also equals to multiply by 4..

This is found in the middle of a rather busy street and it is actually the public toilet.. It is really funny to see some underground passage to a toilet in the middle of somewhat Bugis street? But the toilet is kept really clean and there will be a picture inside it on another day..

On the way back to the hotel guess what i saw!

A Black Stylo Milo Kopi-O LamborGhini! Hot and the sound of it getting ready to go is SO HOTT! This is the first lamborghini i seen in my life! Woot!

SGD1 = 3.44Krones.. That sprite cost about SGD 7!

Went back to the hotel and our rooms was ready.. Really small but cosy at the same time..

Everyone went back to rest and sleep while i attempted to login into MSN and finally.. i managed to chat with my girlfriend.. and we Video called for 4hrs 50min! Happy happy!

Went to the Central Train Station which give me a impression of some Harry Potter Train Station type of feeling..

Dinner was dining at YamYam which is somewhat like a cup noodle with extra big ingredients put in it and heated up in a microwave..

YamYam is Yummy!

This is a small scale module of the train station and its surrounding and i think its really an amazing piece of art..

Speaking of art.. i find that although this are considered vandalisim.. this is the real Art of really talented people..

Look at the clock at the Central Station.. (21:07) and the sky.. Its really cool to have a 4pm sky for a 9pm time.. LOL.. I no longer am able to tell the time roughly by looking at the sky alone..

Following that.. we went to walk around and i bought a able-to-keep-me-warm-in-air-con-room Jacket from the Copenhagen Hardrock Cafe at only $87 exclusive of Tax which could be claimed back at the Airport..

While paying.. we asked the cashier about their pay and guess what.. she earned USD 27 PER HOUR and about 8hr a day and 5days a week or so.. Check it out again.. USD 27 = SGD40 PER HOUR.. but their working tax is about 40% but still.. 60% is almost SGD24.. and for the first 5000denmark currency.. they would not be taxed! WTH! Considering to work there for Internship! =P

And finally we saw the Sunset.. which is approx at 10:15pm! Swell.. In Singapore.. its probably pitch black already..

And so Day 1 is over.. we went back to our Hotel.. where everyone rested and slept except me again.. for i was busy studying for my MST before i catch a bit of rest for the next day!
